Laprosolda is the designation for the union of a physical laboratory infrastructure and specialized personnel dedicated to the development of welding processes. It was created in January 1992 with the objective of developing welding processes (against the tendency to study welding only through metallurgy). Nowadays, Laprosolda is consolidated as a physical infrastructure with competent team able to do research, development and innovation at the level of the best related groups of the large foreign universities. It also aims to become a reference as well as the large welding research centers such as TWI (England), SLV (Germany), Force (Denmark), Institut de Soldure (France) and EWI (USA).
